Research

My PhD thesis is on the concept of personal autonomy in bioethics. I am interested in authenticity, i.e., what it means to be ”genuine,” ”real,” ”true to oneself,” or similar, and how the notion may be relevant in biomedicine. My aim is to make theoretical ideals of authenticity useful in practice.

My research interests also include political philosophy and the methods of applied ethics. Among other things, I have co-organized academic workshops on libertarianism and climate ethics.
